a lovely library dress

I know how much you all like to see different variations on our patterns. I think it’s why you love our Flickr group so much! With the release of the new fall patterns, I thought it would be nice to give a few of our favorite bloggers an early shot at creating their own version of the new patterns. I hope it will help you to visualize some of the many different directions you can take the  patterns as you start your own planning.

Today we’ll start with Rachel Le Grand, over at Nest Full of Eggs. You remember Rachel, right? She of the two fabulous color-blocked Roller Skate Dresses? Yes, that Rachel. Rachel committed to sewing all three of the patterns in just a few weeks. (I suspect that she doesn’t sleep!) Since she has fantastic taste, I could hardly wait to see what she did with the patterns. Rachel started with the Library Dress in a beautiful floral print, and she didn’t disappoint.

You can read more about Rachel’s Library Dress, and see lots more photos of it, at Nest Full of Eggs. Thanks so much, Rachel! It’s gorgeous.

You might also have noticed that some of our pattern testers have posted photos of their fall creations in the Flickr group, like Jeanne of Night Knitter, Melani, and Johanna (who also sewed a second version of the dress that appears to have been worn for the first day of first grade–what a milestone!)

Are you getting ideas yet? Stay tuned for more!
