I’m in total agreement. Sleeveless styles usually don’t extent out to the shoulder to accomodate a sleeve, so it’s much easier to copy the armhole of a garment with sleeves if you want to add them. Thanks, @lightningmcstitch!

I haven’t sewn the Marais dress (yet) so take the following with a grain of salt, but here’s what I’d do if I wanted to add a sleeve:

Choose the knit pattern that you like the sleeve/armscye of; eg metro T, or the Easton, or the Belgravia dress, etc

Jane, I have a little tip that is useful for me. After stitching the cuff to the sleeve (step #2)from one dot to the other, I trim the SA as step #3 indicates, but I don’t press it away from the sleeve. I’m having the exact same problem. I’ve tried following the sew along but the cuff section just repeats the instructions and doesn’t provide the clarity needed. It would really help to see a short video so I can see where I’m going wrong.
