EmilyG replied to the topic Fleece Nature Walk pullover–still use interfacing? in the forum oliver + s: nature walk 10 years ago
I have made it out if micro fleece without interfacing and didn’t like the way the collar fell. Most recently, I used an interfaced woven for the placket, under collar and pocket facing. I used a polar fleece for the main pullover. I was happy with the results. And it was so much less bulk to sew.

I love my O&S patterns. I am almost afraid to sew with others. I know every time an O&S pattern will work and it will fit. And given my disdain for muslins, I try to stay away from patterns where I am not guaranteed a good for.
That said, I would so love to tackle a blazer under Liesl’s direction.

@Cat75, get yourself a copy of the A-Z of Embroidery stitches. It will teach you pretty much everything you could ever want to know. The written instructions and pictures are brilliant. http://www.amazon.com/A-Z-Embroidery-Stitches-Sue-Gardner/dp/0957715986
The rest of the books in the series are really good.

Nicole is by far the winner;) It is a beautiful dress and shot. I have seen it on Pinterest many times, too.

Thank you @vothgirl, I’ve found it. My most viewed is a class picnic blouse. The picture isn’t great, and was a snap my husband took on his phone. The blouse is lovely, and is probably the most work o+s item I have made (so far…) but I don’t really know why it tops the view (in the small 100s not 1000s!!).
The item with the most favourites…[Read more]

That salad looks so tasty @Nicole! I’m going to have to save that.
Tonight we’re having baked salmon with a hollandaise sauce (store-bought) and potatoes and tomorrow I’m making reindeer casserole with mashed potatoes – my girls love this.
We can buy shaved reindeer meat (or moose/elk an deer for that matter) in the frozen section of the grocery…[Read more]

We can buy shaved reindeer meat (or moose/elk an deer for that matter) in the frozen section of the grocery store which saves so much time but I suppose you could freeze a…[Read more]

Sarvi I love the Addi Turbo circular needles for hats. I use wooden 4 double pointed needles too to finish all the tops. I always feel better using wood but I think the Addi Turbo needles are easier on my hands. I would encourage anyone beginning to knit to start with hats. Once you get the basic pattern they knit up fast and you can make all…[Read more]

The Ice Cream does sew up well in wool.
I made two more Hopscotch dresses for my baby girl today.

Aargh! @katybellabug and @lightningmcstitch David Kracht is so annoying! I ended up blocking him after my third encounter with Explore.
My most viewed is Sofia’s Hide-and-Seek dress with embroidered butterflies

I thought with almost 8000 views it would be a top contender but that Portfolio tunic wins everything Nicole! Both in looks and…[Read more]

That confirms it @katybellabug David Kracht is a serial follower! I wasn’t going to name names, but funny we’ve both been multifollowed by the same guy. Guess he really does like kid’s sewing! 🙂
@Nicole that’s an incredible number of views! (I thought you might be the “winner” with that dress!) It’s a truly beautiful dress, but isn’t it funny, I…[Read more] -

@vothgirl Now that is a great tip! I didn’t know you could do that. Thanks!
It seems my most view picture is the embroidery detail on the back pocket of my Small Fry Skinny Jeans, which is nice. I was quite proud of myself for managing that! 😉

My linen Portfolio dress https://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/5634149251/ has had a huge amount of hits.
I must post it off to its new home!

I made this very tasty salad tonight. http://www.sugarandgrace.com/2013/05/02/kale-and-brussels-sprouts-salad-w-bacon-and-pecorino/
My bunch of kale was a bit furry so the chooks got that and I pan fired some sliced zucchini as a substitute. I also steamed the Brussels sprouts briefly in the microwave and then shredded them.I had to use fresh…[Read more]

Piece 4 is for the wasitband, you will need to cut along the tiled lines between each pattern piece and tape together the bold lines. Does that fix it?
