T, that poor baby is going to need the sound of a sewing machine recorded so she can develop good sleep patterns.Lol. Are all these outfits you’ve detailed in the last zillion posts, ALL for Chloe?

Finished yet another Popover – size 4 lengthened – in autumn colours, and nearly finished a size 5 Hopscotch Skirt with a frill to lengthen it. (Do…[Read more]

  • Dear Audrey, thank you for your kind comments about my Badminton Skirt; there’s a new pic in Flickr of one of my bunnies wearing her new Hopscotch. I wasn’t participating in your Sew a long; just serendipity.

Dearest T, thank you!! No, I seriously doubt I’ll be asked to sew – too much distance between Adelaide and Sydney for it to be practical – besides the fact that sheer fabrics are my bete noir. I shall content myself with cross stitching a magnificent wedding sampler (probably with rabbits hidden in it somewhere – don’t ask), and maybe making a…[Read more]

  • I didn’t end up going and postponed all appointments til next week. I just feel really tired at the moment and have been keeping an eye on the health situation. But the plan is to definitely go to Spotlight as the chances of needing something are higher now I am sewing like mad.

I managed to actually find some patterns they actually stocked the…[Read more]

Oh a wedding is so exciting! How fun and thankyou for telling us all about the big news! My hubby rang my parents who were out to “ask” if he could marry me! He was so nervous he just blurted out over the phone “can I please marry your daughter?” To which the reply was “which one?” Because I have a sister you see but of course they knew which one…[Read more]

Big news for my family!!! My eldest niece, Nicola (Nikki) rang me this am to tell me that she is engaged to James (who I met last December). Wedding likely to be early next year – shockingly hot and humid in Sydney, NSW at that time – depending on one of her two sisters’ travel plans. This is the first wedding for our family since Nikki’s parents…[Read more]

They have programs like this available to school children at Perth Zoo during the summer school holidays. You have to book well in advance though.

It sounds like Elsa had a rewarding experience Nicole.

How fun, Nicole! When I was still in school in Sydney I did my work experience at my local veterinarian’s office – but was then selected out of students from all over the city to do a week of work experience at Taronga Zoo! Being an Assistant Zookeeper in the African mammals section was and still is one of the highlights of my life ;).

I am enjoying my self imposed blindness to the state of my house and having a long weekend of sewing bliss! Who cares? it will be here Tuesday!

Anyway, I have successfully completed the hopscotch dresses and promptly dressed Chloe in the pink striped one with a freshly sewn pair of pink leggings (playtime) after she woke from her morning…[Read more]

  • Not that I know of Tamara, although I think there may have been a correction put out regarding the Mabel waistband.
I finished my leggings with matching skirt as well as fixing the fleece Mabel I made last week.
It was to restricting so I cut 6″ off the bottom and added a ruffle instead. Now it’s wearable and doesn’t restrict my movement 🙂

  • @Justsewit tell me about it, I was kicking empty boxes out of the way to get my pram through! Good luck with your shopping today.

Looking forward to seeing your blue and white roller skate dress LisaMM.

Heidi did you recieve an email regarding some sort of bungle with one of the Colette patterns? A scam or something? I didn’t read it properly because time has been lacking of late.

On my sewing table are still the hopscotch dresses still to be hemmed and also some pairs of playtime leggings, mostly in different shade of pink because I want to…[Read more]
