Cooking and Baking 10 years agoFried rice springs to mind, although it is strictly a sit down at the table thing to eat, I know my kids loved it when they were very small.
Does vegetarian mean no eggs and milk products too?
If eggs are allowed, I would do little curried egg centres and of course include it with the fried rice.

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoOoh I get so excited about planning party food! 🙂
For healthy options for kids I normally do:
– popcorn
– sandwiches (cut into special shapes with cookie cutters)
– mini muffins
– mini quiches
– vegetables (I use cookie cutters here too, eg. small stars cut from pieces of cucumber)
– bliss balls
– chickpeas, black beans etc. maybe sautĂ©ed with…[Read more] -

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoHelp!! Lady E is 3 in two weeks and she is having four little friends round to play for an hour or two. I would like to make a really nice party lunch. It has to be reasonably healthy and be mainly vegetarian. The party doesn’t have a theme or anything, and I don’t mind hot or cold, or a mix of both. I’ll also be feeding parents/siblings, and…[Read more]

It worked out! I skipped the darts but should have shortened the bodice but it was fine in the end. Thanks so much for your suggestions!

@cybele727 she is the best thing since sliced bread and more! She’s on my hip pretty much all the time so we get to do lots of things one handed together. Except helping with drafting sheep for shearing – she’s in the carrier then and really I need to employ it alot more than I do. But with her crawling and big kids having no concept of putting…[Read more]

Sorry to those of you waiting but it probably won’t be until next week. Once we hand things off to the printer we lose a lot of control of the timetable and this round things are taking longer than usual.

I’m thinking about halloween costumes! Last year we did Paddington Bear and the year before was a peacock.
This year 3 year old wants to be the lorax. I’m thinking this means orange leggings, orange hoodie with eyes and mustache attached, and truffula shaped bag for candy.
Her sister is going to reuse a hand me down elephant costume and be…[Read more]

I’m guessing sometime this week. @Liesl introduced her new Butterick coat pattern today (swoon!), so I’m hoping it’s a week of releases!!
I’m mostly excited that some of the previous Liesl & Co. patterns will be released in printed paper…that’s what I’m poised for!!

OOOH I miss new babies and so glad I don’t have one.
Although in some respects they are easier than the older kids.
Enjoy your baby!!!
