@AmyF I really hope it comes together for you. I was going to say measuring the back of the little girl you are sewing for would enable you to make sure you need to adjust in that area. Sometimes little girls can carry upper body weight – everyone is different in how they develop.

My girls are going to be Elsa and Anna this year. I had to muddle through two separate Simplicity patterns. “Elsa” is in adults sizes but still shaped like a kid and “Anna” was just one size too big for the little girl patterns. I made the ultimate chocolate cake for a Halloween party (cupcakes) The cake is sensational–flavorful, moist and easy to make. I can’t wait to try the ganache icing.

@motherof5 Nicole, yes I found it in the ‘free from’ section of my supermarket along with all the other special diet ingredients. I know it is in health food shops as well.
I really enjoyed the cake and didn’t miss the sugar. My husband said it wasn’t sweet enough for him. But he has 3 sugars in his tea and sugar on his cereal so his expectations…[Read more]

I might have to book my daughter in for sewing lessons with someone else. She sat and watched as I showed her how to thread it and how to fill the bobbin but that was the extent of it all.
