Hope you get at least one set of pajamas done before she goes!
I made lovely green dresden plates. We set them out in a number of configurations. I only realised afterwards that my favourite configuration is very reminiscent of “The Very Hungry Catapiller”! -

Dresdens are so much fun! Enjoy them Heidi.
I have cut out two B6296 in size 14 ready to sew. Running behind time and feeling slightly stressed about things.

Ok I made the second comino dress this morning (lisette knit) and it took a little over two hours to put together and was met with enthusiastic comment from both daughter and husband.
I am now trying to trace the size 14 of B6296 with really thick interfacing as the “paper”. It works fabulous as pattern pieces but is the devil to trace onto in…[Read more]

@avivocasews Congratulations! When are you due?
There are two options that I can think of that would suit this pattern and would accomodate for the growing little person. I never actually made this one for maternity but have researched ways to extend the life of normal clothing through the maternity period for other items of clothing.
One way…[Read more]

Does anyone have any tips for converting the City Stroll skirt into a maternity skirt? This is one of my favorite patterns and I’d love to be able to wear it while cooking this bun.

That is devastating about the Secret Agent trench, because I have that pattern and I love it! It’s such a satisfying, easy sew. We need a Secret Agent outreach project!

I am just about ready to stitch the elastic casing down on the two everyday skirts made for Imogen – had to make a trip to Spotlight because the 1/2 inch elastic mysteriously disappeared at the last minute.
I am now trying to get the table clear so I can set the machines up to do this and then I can also get going on the lisette knit comino.…[Read more]
