I believe body measurements are listed under another tab on the website. They both are measuring approximately 32″ bust. Size 0 is based on 35″ hips if you can’t find the measurements online.

We are “teaching” a sewing class. We say teaching very loosely since Liesl will really be doing the teaching :). Two of the girls have selected the Gallery Tunic / Dress to sew and are both measuring size 0, however their hips are only 31″ and 33″. Should we make adjustments and if so, what would be the best method to accomplish this? Also, we…[Read more]

Looking forward to seeing your photos!
I’ve just traced and cut out the pattern for the birthday party dress, size 3. This is my first time using this pattern. I found some mustangs in mustard from cotton and steel in my stash which I plan to use for the dress with some matching navy. Fortunately I realized it was from a quilting friend it hasn’t…[Read more] -

There is a whole series just on pockets on the website 🙂 -

You could easily use the Women’s Metro T-shirt pattern from Liesl and Co. Especially with the tunic you already purchased, you can measure where to cut the shirt pattern to make the skirt. This tutorial should help, just make the skirt portion longer: http://oliverands.com/community/blog/2014/02/customizing-the-raglan-peplum-ruffle.html

@justsewit I can’t believe how much you get sewed! @thejennigirl I hope you managed to crack into some WIPs. The only way I seem to get mine finished is if I also ‘treat’ myself with something new!
I’ve got a second swingset skirt ready to sew, and have cut out a playtime dress in a seersucker that I really love. I still haven’t started sewing…[Read more]

What about the Colette Moneta?https://www.colettepatterns.com/catalog/moneta
You might need to shorten the bodice but the main design elements are there. -

@justsewit, I’m impressed you managed to get her to pattern choose. The older my Korra gets, the more I hear, “you can pick. You know what I like.” Even her excited beginning into the sewing experience has dribbled to a sad nothingness. I’m trying to hide my disappointment and be patient and understanding, but, darn it! She showed so much promise!

That notcher thing. I want an easy way to cut my notches inward without accidentally going to far. I also want a clear notch as opposed to a little snip so I’m not later saying to myself, is that a notch I’m supposed to match or was that just a fray, bad cut, etc.

Talk to me about sewing supplies and other things you’d like us to carry, will you? What would be most useful or inspiring to you? It doesn’t really make sense to us or to you to carry things that you can find everywhere else. Is there something you can’t find and want us to carry? Would you be interested in things that I love that you might not…[Read more]

I’ll be interested to hear how the Comino cap dress goes. Kitschy Coo’s Penny Pinafore is my goto patterns for tshirts and knit dresses for myself.
I’m still working on my BB8 messenger bag. I ended up doing some improvised curved piecing of denim for the main flap. I’m really liking how it looks 🙂 -

@justsewit, I think you’ll be very happy with the spring Lisette for Butterick patterns. It’s definitely in line with your thinking, especially if you don’t mind a few tweaks to make it more rain-worthy…

A Blazer is still top on my wish list and has been for years. A Moto jacket would be awesome though.
