Exciting! Which will release first, O+S or L+C?

Wooooooo hooooooo, that’s really exciting news!

We’re waiting from confirmation from the printer yet about when everything will be ready, but we’re tentatively planning on the second week in September. We’re at that point in the process where it’s mostly up to how fast the trucks can move back and forth across the country.

I’m hoping to do some sewing for me shortly, so I can wear something ‘me made’ when I return to work. I’m thinking a city stroll skirt and a passport jacket. I now have ideas for outfits for both girls, though I doubt I’ll have enough time for both and for birthday outfits. If I do manage both monochrome looks i’m going to have to buy a small amount of black fabric. I’ll also have to use fabric destined for a wearable muslin for a city stroll skirt for me. Mmmm, not sure if i’m that nice.

@justsewit, why not either/or/both? As you can see, I am a real curmudgeon for rules about sew alongs. 🙂

And if we do an either or, I may have to get that sparkly Miller fabric. What a pretty every day skirt it would be…. hmmmm….

@needlewoman I have been quilting a couple of cushion covers, the hand sewing makes a really nice change to sitting at the machine, and I can do it in front of the TV!

Oh I was eyeing a Michael Miller black fabric with silver dots. So absolutely. It is totally sparkly grey!

Personally, I love grey so much I consider it a “colour above all others”. But it’s not really, is it. Certainly fits on the monochrome spectrum. After all a black and white image is really variations of grey! I stuck with black and white only for my blog post, but only because i could lose myself in the greys badly!

And yes, definitely tag it. It would be a great round up, I hope.

I figure some grey scale will be ok too. Because most prints on black often have grey scale, but that fits with the monochromatic theme.

Thanks @cybele727 I was thinking it needed it’s own thread.
I’ll have a blog post up soonish for son inspiration and with my (first) monochrome creation.
If you use Flickr tags or instagram then tag with #oliverandsmonochrome then we might have a round up of projects at the end.
I found some great pics on pinterest and started a board.

I’m in, though I have no idea what i’m going to sew yet! I’ve given myself the extra rule that I have to use fabric i’ve already got.

I’m off to browse pintrest for inspiration…
