Do you participate in Me Made May? It’s a fun way to encourage you to wear your handmade items more often or in some way differently to how you usually get dressed, and to see what you learn from the experience. I love it because the weather is finally starting to warm up and it’s a great opportunity to get out and experiment with the clothing I packed away during the winter months. This is a personal challenge: you decide how you want to participate, be it every day or once a week, wearing one item or maybe you want to wear only handmade if you’re really ambitious? It’s entirely up to you. And if you want, you can also post photos of your clothes, which I think is so fun because I love to see what everyone is wearing!
In any case, to encourage you in preparation for the event, Creativebug is having a 30% off sale during all of April on many of their apparel sewing classes, including quite a few of mine! Maybe you could use a little help finishing something you started? Or a refresher on a technique?
You can see all of the apparel sewing classes included in the sale listed here.
I hope these classes will get you feeling inspired for some of your sewing projects, or help you to finish any projects that have been lingering because you need a little help with them. And I can’t wait to see what you’ve made when you show them off in May!
