You probably already know that here at Oliver + S we’re all about community. It started shortly after I began the company when we launched our discussion forums so you could ask your questions. It completely surprised us that, through the forums, many of you developed connections and friendships that continue today. And what could be better than having a group of like-minded sewing friends to share with?

So today we’re introducing another way for your to connect with one another: the Oliver + S Friends Facebook group. If you use Facebook, we’d love it if you would join us! It’s just another way to be part of the community, with several big advantages.

Here are a few of the things we like about a Facebook group, as opposed to our Oliver + S company Facebook page (which you may already have liked):

• Facebook won’t decide which posts to show you and which to not show you (or at least not yet), so in your newsfeed you will see everything that’s posted in the Oliver + S Friends group.
• You can share your own photos and questions to the group, which allows everyone to interact as part of a community.
• We’ll be able to do Facebook Live videos to demonstrate techniques, show you a little bit of what happens behind the scenes, and answer some of your questions. (I think this part is going to be So. Much. Fun.)
