As promised, here is the second Lisette fabric that we wanted to highlight from the spring 2014 collection. You’ll remember last week we featured the popular turquoise dot aqua chambray. Today it’s all about the floral green and blue eyelet which is still available to purchase online and at Jo-Ann stores.
This floral green and blue eyelet is a bit more expensive than the other fabrics, but is worth the investment as it is a higher quality fabric and so unique. Since by definition eyelet is a fabric with holes in it, for modesty try using patterns that include a lining or if they don’t, then you can add a lining.
Do you recognize this Garden Party Blouse? It was featured in the post introducing the pattern.
Kelly sewed this wonderful Roller Skate Dress. Isn’t it sweet?
And see how nice this eyelet looks made up in a Class Picnic Blouse. It was created by Jenn.
Lastly, I whipped up this Lazy Days Skirt, and I lined it with some Floral Aqua Lawn (another fabric in the Lisette Spring 2014 fabric collection) which appears to still be available to purchase online.
To get more inspiration on what to sew with Lisette fabrics, we encourage you to go see what others are creating with it in the SewLisette Flickr group.
What is the other blue fabric you used for the Garden Party blouse? I have already purchased the eyelet and the pattern and would like to make one exactly like this!
Also, is the one you made lined?
Thanks, Sherry
Thanks for these posts, I love them! I will be travelling to the USA soon… I hope I can find some Lisette fabrics. Is there going to be a new spring collection released this year?
The Garden Party blouse is really gorgeous!
Lovely fabric! Could you please add a tutorial on how to add a lining to a pattern that doesnt have it already? Thanks.
