i am so glad you have at least one child with darker skin and dark hair and didnt make it just about blond, blue eyes and white or the opposite, african americans.
i love it when i can see children that are more similar to mine. right in between the other 2.
    Thanks!!!

    Hi Liesl,
I’m looking forward to your new book. I was wondering what the size range for hats/clothes is going to be.
    THanks,

Congratulations! I am so excited for the new book to come out. I have mine ordered–it was a Christmas present. I absolutely love your patterns and have made several for our 12 nieces and nephews. My husband and I are expecting our first child in mid-March and my sewing machine has been busy. I can’t wait to get your book and start working on it! I’m also framing the paper dolls from my patterns to decorate the baby’s room. Thank you for all your lovely work!

Sakes alive, I might have to sit out the next semester of grad school for this! So happy for a good hat pattern and the hooded cape?! Cute, cute, cute! Cannot wait!!

  10. Oh my gosh! How amazingly cute! I can’t wait!! I’ve got my copy reserved. My head is reeling with all the christmas ideas for my daughter and nieces. Did I also see a baby/doll carrier? I was just going to make one for my daughter for her birthday from and Ottobre pattern, but now I may have to just hold off until I get the book. I’m sure I could follow Liesl’s instructions way more that I could Ottobre. I’m just tickled with excitement

Just lovely! Can’t wait for this book. I think the cape is my favorite but I know that the boy’s vest will end up near the top of my to-do list too once I have this book in my hands.

  16. Oh how fun! I love the animation and I’m excited to sew all of the projects! Perfect – a sun hat!!! The kids will both need some of those for summer. Oliver will need a backpack for preschool in the Fall. And, of course, Clara MUST have a cape and a tutu. Too fun.

  17. Oh can’t wait, can’t wait.

  18. Darling little preview of what looks to be a fun fun book!! I can’t wait!

You were right (as usual) this book seems to be quite apart from everything that’s already out there. Lots of new and exciting projects already in the (sewing) pipeline.
