so happy!

You know what just totally makes my day? To see photos like this on the Oliver + S Flickr group.

Poppy Dresses
How thrilled do these little girls look with their new, matching Bubble Dresses? I mean, someone just made two little girls very, very happy. And enhanced the absolute adorability of them, as well.

Is that a word, adorability?

Anyway, they’re really cute. And I’m smiling.

  1. Your Patterns are the greatest!! Just look at that smile! My 2 yr old daughter has Congenital Scoliosis and will be under going her first spinal surgery in September. I have been at odds as to what to put her in post op (no waist bands) Then I found your website and this great light came over me! hehehe. I ordered 2 patterns the bubble and tea party……are you ready for the best part? I don’t know how to sew! LOL BUT I am hopeful that I can learn. Sew or so watch out world….there may not be enough fabric to stop me. Thanks for the inspiration!!

  2. That is so cute! I love it so much I may have to snag a pattern for my non-existant baby girl! I could still use it for birthdays…

Hi, Liesl! I just finished sewing the little Swingset Tunic Top. I must say that I really, really enjoyed the attention to detail in the design of your pattern. I liked the placket and shoulder strap assembly especially. Your patterns cater to the perfectionist seamstress and I was leaping with anticipation to see where you would take me with each instructional step.

I check your website regularly for the debut of the fall patterns. You are certainly blessed with many talents and I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

OH! one more thing… I wonder if you will have matching designs for our little girls baby dolls – similar in size to the ‘American Girl’ Bitty Baby (14 inches) and/or the other AG dolls (18 inches)??!!

    Pretty please?!! πŸ™‚

  5. I received my Oliver & S playsuit pattern in the mail yesterday. It’s such a lovely item, I’m almost sad to cut it up! Very much looking forward to making the dress and suit for small friends very soon…

UNFURLED: Don’t cut your pattern! πŸ™‚ I didn’t cut mine because I just couldn’t bear it – I made a tracing (with Pattern-Ease) and tuck it inside the pattern envelope. Then I can make tracings for other sizes as my little girl gets older and they can all be kept with the pattern.

  7. Liesl,

If you ever want someone to trial-sew your patterns, let me know. I’d be happy to offer feedback in return for free patterns. πŸ™‚ Seriously, I just used one of your patterns for the first time yesterday, and it was wonderful! I like your thorough sewing directions, although I did what I wanted and sewed the lining down by hand. I hope to have a girl one day so I can make some sweet dresses. For now, I posted pics of my son’s playsuit to my blog and to the flicker group. Thanks for a great day! Elisa

  8. I think I will have to finally buy this pattern because each time I see any dress made with it I got in love with it!
Thanks so much for sharing the pics. I really love all the patterns! lol…
