Thank you, Heidi! I am super happy with how it turned out. Need to shorten it a bit and hand see the sleeves but I have a bit of time. I think I will stick with the skirt as is:

I think that’s what Cindy did when she first enlarged it, but then found that the enlarged top section meant the straps started too low down and the bag was unbalanced.
I can’t recall if that was a discussion on here or on Siestas and Sewing blog

I would suggest a really easy route for this. If you want to enlarge it, be sure the seam allowances are drawn into the pattern piece. Then enlarge all the pieces the same percentage and draw new cut lines from the seam lines. That looks great, JWo! Thanks for sharing. I am having the same issue with the skirt. I wonder if I should have used crinoline for first layer of tulle? Other than that – the fairy tale pattern worked well. Thank you all for your help!!! I am making my niece a matching skirt so I am open to suggestions to improve the fullness.

Oh no. The unpick is the worst. I am sewing another company pattern for the pinafore/jumper. And I have to go out and get new fabric because, well, because I followed the directions and they left out a critical step. I did trimming so I can’t really undo. I have to recut the neckline and facings. Oh well. That’ll teach me. The problem is…[Read more]
