Sleeveless styles usually don&#8217;t extent out to the shoulder to accomodate a sleeve, so it&#8217;s much easier to copy the armhole of a garment with sleeves if you want to add them. I usually keep several weights on hand&#8211;right now I&#8217;m developing trousers and using a heavier weight than I would use for blouses. I&#8217;ve sewn the size 10 myself, so I know the collar fits correctly. When I say pin on the seamline I mean don&#8217;t pin at the edges but pin where you&#8217;ll be sewing. You&#8217;ve already staystitched the neckline, so that&#8217;s a good guide. I hope that helps! <p>The bust fits. However I have *very* wide lower hips, this makes fitting an absolute nightmare as patterns are generally not designed for bodies like mine&#x1f601; Extra width is mandatory for me.</p>

I went ahead and tried to quilt each lining piece and each outer piece. I used a light weight flannel instead of batting to cut down on the bulk. I think it turned out lovely. The pattern seems roomy enough to handle it. </p>

<p>I ended up making the 3T with a much smaller elastic (fitted to her). The back turned into a gathered back rather than the single pleat. According to the 4yr old, it&#8217;s &#8220;fine&#8221;. </p>
<p>I&#8217;m interested to remake it though, because my waistband was an inch too small. I cut a larger one to fit the culottes. </p>

It&#8217;s pretty busy here at the moment but I should be able to squeeze in some time for another challenge between now and February (in amongst harvest, Christmas, first birthday and school prep). <p>My new stove arrived and I am on the last stretch of my 18th Birthday sewing. Next week will be baking and list writing.</p>
<p>The Fab Five have done an awesome job clearing and tidying up the yard and old implement shed.</p>
