If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember some photos from our trip to San Francisco at the start of last month to do some filming in the Creativebug studios. I’m happy to report that the results of that trip are starting to become available!
This month I have two new workshops available there.
My fabric shoelaces workshop will show you how to use your fabric scraps (you’ll need less than 1/4 yard for each pair!) to make a fun pair of shoelaces to customize your favorite weekend footwear. I have a pair of these shoelaces in the sneakers I wore around the neighborhood this weekend, and they got immortalized the other day in an Instagram photo. (And I totally win for having the most stylish footwear of the afternoon there, but I suppose voting is still open if you’re so inclined.)
My smocked necklace workshop will show you how to make this fun necklace that I’ve been making for myself lately. As I mentioned before (here and here), I’ve recently started experimenting with smocking on a small scale. This project is a great introduction to the craft. It’s actually how I started out. It’s a quick, simple project that lets you try your hand at smocking and leaves you with a fun necklace that you can wear with just about anything. I always get compliments when I wear mine.
I hope you’ll enjoy these two new workshops. And in case you haven’t heard, Creativebug is offering a special for the month of September. You’ll get unlimited access to all their workshops for only $9.99 a month. That’s a price you can’t beat!
