Project details
Pattern used: Liesl + Co. Terrace Dress
Fabric used: Linen for the colorful version and medium weight rayon for the blue version.

Did the fabric work well?

This pattern is perfect for all kind of fabrics! The linen gives it a more crisp silhouette and the rayon is very flowy and in this blue it reminds me of my home town beach at the Black Sea.

How did the sewing go?

I made a size S, I am a C cup and thinking that this is a pretty loose garment I measured the pattern and didn’t make the full bust adjustment. The fit is perfect. The rayon was a bit challenging to sew and of course I had to do also a bit of print matching. The linen on the other hand, was a breeze to sew. I love the finishing of the neckline with the bias strip, very flat and neat.

What was the best part?

Well, this is really a very easy project. Starting from printing the PDF (I love the grid lines, makes it so easy to tape the pages straight) and finishing the dress in no time. This is for me the perfect summer dress to wear in and outside the house.
