This lovely pattern is my go to as a teacher gift. My last version was sewn for a AUS size 20.<br />
(My tip, attach the button with elastic so it has some ease)<br />
Alternatively, I think you could make a wee tab that has buttons on each end.</p>

He is not overly tall and an average muscular build.</p>
<p>He, too, liked the pockets and said he would happily wear them.</p>

If you don&#8217;t think that will work for your shape, you could try rotating the fullness of the pleat into a side bust dart. I added a dart for mine since I have a large bust.</p>

Then you don&#8217;t have to mess with trying to get it to match up to the x-large body parts.</p>

<p>For lawn and voile, I use a size 10, a size 12 for most other fabrics and a 14 for denim.</p>
<p>If you google it, you should find a good chart that will recommend type and needle size.</p>

For up to 2 years I would make it as it is. (2+2 blouse would be adorable too) after that age I would consider leaving off the tucks and trimming the excess from the side and front to match the yoke.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Stay stitching is a support for sewing, once the sewing is done it has done its job.</p>
<p>Clipping the curves is important for a nice neat turn and curve.</p>
<p>On a very sheer fabric, where the clipping will show, I trim the seam very closely and it will curve nicely but you need to be a bit careful.</p>

<p>You need to make a muslin. A FBA will be your friend here. <p>I would just continue the angle, perhaps have a RTW coat that you like the sleeve width nearby, for reference. Just angle out again (mirror the angle) to allow turning and hemming. </p>

<p>My sewing, a few years back, was ALL the colours and patterns. Now it is very subdued but much more wearable. </p>
<p>Spotlight (Joannes in the USA) stock plain linen, often on sale, which washes and wears quite well.</p>
