I keep a few baskets with the larger pieces and they&#8217;ve become all sort of fun projects and trims on other projects. I&#8217;ll often cut and prepare bias trim with the scraps so it&#8217;s ready when I need it. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I would say that you wouldn&#8217;t actually fold the fabric as per you would ordinarily to get the result because the tucks moght end up a bit off.  Would trace the pattern on the fold but not cut it on the fold in order to get the full piece and then work from there to determine where to put my tucks.</p>
<p>This is just how I would do it.</p>

You&#8217;d think there was ample yardage but the seams hit in funny places, and often unpicking the seams is so much trouble for so little usable fabric that it makes more sense to just trim them off. The Twins change their minds a lot before I get to them but that is have the fun. Once it is cut, that is it.</p>
<p>I finally finished my cousins dress. It is beautiful and if I have fitted the muslin correctly, should fit like a glove.<br />

These culottes are finished such that I need to either shed at least five kilos or gift them on.<br />
I have plenty of fabric to try again, but perhaps not enough time!<br />
