We love seeing stitchers wearing a head-to-toe handmade outfit sewn from multiple Liesl + Co patterns! Sharon has sewn two pieces that she will be able to wear year-round. Take it away, Sharon!

Hello! Sharon here today with my Peckham Trousers and Strasbourg Henley top. I wanted to make an outfit that is great for most all seasons, and this one fits the bill.

I made the top view for the henley versus the bodysuit option. I have had the knit fabric in my stash for a while, and it was perfect for this pattern. The fabric is lightweight and has a lot of stretch, so I took the sewing slowly. This pattern is straightforward and can be made in a day. The only modification I made to this pattern was adding 6.5 inches in length. I love the fit and how comfortable this top is.

For the Peckham trousers, I did make several modifications. These pants are truly made just for me. How I decided where I needed to make the modifications was to sew up a muslin and check the fit. Then, I marked what areas needed adjustments made. Liesl has some great blog posts on how to do this. I have more “curve” in my mid-section, so I went with a larger size for my waist and downgraded two sizes by the bottom of my leg. I took the back darts in a little more for a better fit at the backside. I have never had such a nice-fitting pair of pants. They are definitely worth the time it takes to make these. They are the most comfortable pair of slacks that I have ever owned. I plan on making myself two pairs up in a short length for summertime.
