spring in their step

I’ve been a little obsessed with spring shoes the past couple of weeks. It has a lot to do with photo shoots and the upcoming spring patterns, but I admit it: I love shoes! My own small closet will attest to this, but kids’ shoes are so much more fun and more affordable than women’s options. And since it’s not quite time to show off the spring patterns yet, let’s just focus on the shoes for now, shall we?

The boys have lots of really stylish options right now. I love desert boots and chukka boots with pants or shorts, and those wing tips (#10) would look amazing with almost anything. J. Crew has all sorts of fantastic options, but Lands’ End does a bang-up job, too.

Of course all of the boys’ options would look super-stylish on a girl, too. But I know a certain 6-year-old who only likes really girly shoes right now.

Girls always have fantastic options. I want those orange sandals for myself! I love all the pinks, yellows, and oranges. S has been wearing the pink rainboots and the desert boots with the pink trim, and you’ll be seeing them styled up with the spring patterns in our photos soon. And you probably already know we’re fans of Salt Water Sandals.

It wasn’t until I had assembled the collage above that I realized these never made it into the girls’ mix. Love the pink trim!

S and I have been contemplating the Sven clogs and a pair of Salt Water Sandals for her spring/summer shoe options, but I’m sure I’ll break down and buy her some Crocs since she seems to live in them during the summer.
