How very satisfying to sew with your patterns! Thank you for clear directions (even I couldn't get lost!) and for the styling that captures my heart. Great job, and I look forward to continuing to create adorable clothing.

This is a well written pattern with detailed instructions. My great niece wants to sew a dress for herself and this is a great one for her to try since it is explained so well. I love how the dress I sewed for her little sister came out and it fits her so comfortably. It was so quick, too.

I can't tell you how much I love this design. It's simple, easy to follow and the result is so neat. A pretty everyday dress a 5yr old can play as freely as she can. I made this dress in one morning... I can see myself making more. Love it!

i recently purchased the roller skate pattern, & finally got around to sewing it today. Loved how easily it came together, & how pleased the small recipient was when she put it on! In her own words- "its very neat & pretty!" high praise from a 4 year old!

Such a great pattern! It is a quick sew, and so easy to customize. I have done applique, lace, pom poms, and all views. I have made so many it is almost embarrassing. Highly recommend this one!

Yup. Three. Most O + S patterns are clever, and look complicated but aren't. This ingenious little dress is the perfect every day year round pattern. Use heavier cottons for the winter and layer a t shirt underneath. Use lighter voiles and batistes in the summer and voila a flowing summer shift. This one is so ridiculously easy that you can spend all the extra time you want on appliques or any other embellishment. Add to it that it has options as a tunic/shirt and an exterior contrast neck, and it is an amazing very versatile pattern. It is my daughter's favorite dress and it is so so so so so easy.

  • Errata

    1. In the first printing of this pattern, the back-envelope illustration for View A, Back incorrectly showed View B, Back. Refer to the Details tab on this page to see the correct illustration for View A, Back.

    Determining Which Printing You Have

As errata are discovered, they are marked for correction in subsequent printings of the pattern.

To determine which printing of an instruction sheet or pattern sheet you have, look at the copyright box which appears on each. Toward the bottom of the box, there is a series of numbers.

The lowest number you see there indicates which printing you have. For example, if the lowest number in the box on the instruction sheet is "2," you have an instruction sheet from the second printing. Any errors in the instructions mentioned for the first printing have been corrected in your version. If the lowest number in the box on the pattern sheet is "1," you have a copy of the pattern sheet from the first printing.

Pattern sheets and instructions sheets can be printed separately, so be sure to check the errata notices for pattern pieces against the printing number on the pattern sheet and errata notices for instructions against the printing number on the instruction sheet.
