Those are two great methods. I actually prefer a rotary cutter, one just must be very careful.
That sounds dangerous, M-E! But if it works for you, keep doing it. Just be careful!
I’ve seen some alternatives but I prefer my trusty, old fashioned seam ripper!

Hmmm, interesting. I’ve used the second method plenty of times, but I’ve never turned the seam ripper over. WoW! and I’ve been sewing more years than I care to admit!
