How or why does a pattern reach the end of its lifespan?

    1. Julia, we have quite high print minimums that must be met if we are to reprint a pattern. We always evaluate whether a pattern is still selling well enough to justify reprinting it. If not, we decide to take it out of print. These patterns have reached a point in their lifespan where they can’t justify another print run.

  2. You got me again! I’m a sucker for those class picnic shorts. The pair I made have been a great hit and now everyone wants a pair:

Even though I know I can buy digital I love the paper patterns.

Wow, you must have gotten a fast response because I just tried to buy Class Picnic and it is already sold out! Off to hunt for it elsewhere!

    1. Masha, you can try again in a while. Many people put a pattern in their bag but never check out. These eventually get returned to inventory and become available again. Sign up to get an email to be notified if this happens.

      1. Thank you Masha for posting your comment, and thank you Todd for answering it. I thought I had missed out on the class picnic until I saw your answer. I waited patiently (that’s not entirely true, I was refreshing my emails every few minutes to see if a notification would come through) and was able to get what I was after in the end. I much prefer the printed patterns to the digital. Now I just have to patiently wait for the patterns to make it all the way here in the post to the other end of the earth… New Zealand! 🙂

I am like a kid in a candy store!!! I just used my first Oliver + S pattern last week and I am hooked! I literally ran to the computer when I saw there was a sale on patterns. I was able to snag some of my faves! Thank you!!! Maybe someday I will learn how to print my own but for now I still really love paper!
