Kathy started the topic arm facing too short? in the forum liesl + co: breezy blouse

My arm facing pieces are about 2 inches too short for the the armscyes. I made minor alterations to the armscye, but nothing like 2 inches. The instructions don’t say anything about easing, so I was expecting a 1:1 fit.
Can anyone suggest where I’ve gone wrong? Many thanks!

Hello,
Does anyone have any idea why the cuffs on this all day shirt sleeve are flaring out? I’ve double checked that the interfaced cuff is facing the outside. Did I stretch the facing too much? Is there anything I can do other than recut some cuffs and facings and redo it?

Suggestions welcome!

Thanks,

Hello,
I’d like to shorten the sleeves approximately 5 inches. I’m not sure where best to do this, as there’s no lengthen/shorten line. Should I divide the 5 inches between two locations on the sleeve? Am I correct in assuming I should shorten in approximately the same place on the under sleeve and upper sleeve?
Thank you!

Hi,
I’m making a Classic shirt, but I would like to remove the back pleats and add back darts, just like on the Recital shirt. Can I substitute the Recital shirt back for the Classic shirt back? I seem to remember reading that these patterns were related.

Thanks,
What pattern alterations could I do to give him more room in the neck?

I’m making a small (with added length). I discovered when I was measuring the (nearly) finished muslin that the back is wider than the front and the side seams are not at the side.

Going back to measure the pattern, the back – from the fold to top of side seam – is 12-5/8 in, total 25-1/4 inches.
