Oliver + S Girl on the Go Dress

There’s a new pattern in town and it’s our 50th Oliver + S style! It’s the Girl on the Go Dress + Top, and it’s available now in both paper and digital formats. You can learn more about the pattern by visiting Liesl’s introduction post. Also you can get ideas about fabric choices here. Then come join us soon to make one alongside your virtual sewing pals as we will be hosting a Girl on the Go sew-along April 2-3.

Pattern Description

This simple pull-on dress and top is designed for knit fabrics with a little stretch. The View A dress features a fun front tie detail and short sleeves, while View B makes a classic top with 3/4-length sleeves. Both styles include a neck facing with topstitching detail and a forward shoulder for a comfortable fit. You’ll love the look, feel, and versatility of this dress and top which make great wardrobe basics for every girl on the go.

Suggested Fabrics

Suitable for knits of all sorts. Stable knits are especially good for this style. Suggested fabrics include jersey, double knit, thermal knit, interlock, sweatshirt fleece, and French terry.

Day 1: Before you start, finish the neckline

Day 2: Sew the sleeves, ties and side seams; finish the dress
