Too low cut as designed, but easy to make.

I had to alter my top in the early part of construction because it was far too low cut, finishing below my bust! Luckily I could raise the shoulders but that meant lowering the back neckline a little. I'm not sure why this top has darts at all. I will use the pattern again, but as I have had to redraw it considerably, I don't think it was good value.

    Great Easy Basic Tank Top

Haven't sewn in years and found this cute tank top pattern. Basically just matched my measurements to pattern instructions and found that the top fit just right. Instructions were easy to follow. Will definitely make this top again but maybe raise the neckline a little higher. It was a little too low cut for me. Overall I am finding that the Grainline patterns fit really well and instructions are easy to follow. I also purchased the Grainline Lakeside pajamas and have made the top about 3 times now. Love these easy, comfortable to wear patterns that you can make in a couple of hours!

    Nice basic

Now that I've worked out the fit, it's a great basic pattern in my sewing arsenal. I like the shape of the hem on this tank--not just straight across. It was way too low-cut for my taste, but an easy alteration to raise. Also, the darts did not fit me correctly. I searched online and found others who commented the darts needed to be raised. After checking my measurements (bust apex) raising an inch gave me the perfect fit.
