Time for those wheels to start turning. What will your little gal wear at Christmastime…<\/p>\n

…or Thanksgiving dinner, family photos, a holiday dance recital, or to go see The Nutcracker? \u00a0There are so many \u201cfancy occasions\u201d coming up in the next month to sew for! \u00a0We talked about the boys<\/a> last week, and now some inspiration for the little ladies.<\/p>\n

The Music Box Jumper<\/a>\u00a0is a pattern that you might not immediately think could go \u201cfancy,\u201d but in a plaid dupioni silk<\/a> or satiny Radiance<\/a>, it shines! \u00a0Toss on a cardigan with white tights and Mary Janes, and she\u2019s classically Christmas.<\/p>\n

I love the two-fabric idea of this dress: cream on top, gold polka dots on the bottom! \u00a0You could achieve this look with a few of our patterns: the Bubble Dress<\/a>, a collarless\u00a0Fairy Tale Dress<\/a>, even a color blocked Roller Skate Dress<\/a>! \u00a0Dear Stella\u2019s new Confetti Sparkle<\/a> line is a nice choice for the skirt.<\/p>\n

If you prefer to go a bit more casual, check out this option – a twirly skirt and peter pan blouse with a cozy cardigan! \u00a0A Swingset Skirt<\/a>\u00a0with a Music Class Blouse<\/a> is a great combo that\u2019ll get a lot of use after the holidays too. \u00a0Perhaps in a Nani Iro Double Gauze<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Plaid is so \u201cin\u201d and so \u201choliday” too. \u00a0The drop-waisted number on the left reminds me of an Apple Picking Dress<\/a> without the button placket, and the one on the right looks like a Book Report Dress<\/a> without sleeves. Love the idea to put the plaid on the bias for the pocket.<\/p>\n
