Kari chose a crisp cotton, which is a great idea for this style, and it got me thinking that this could be good in a waterproof raincoat style as well. Meanwhile, check out Theresa’s larger, slouchy version in a pretty green linen!<\/p>\n

Erica and I had the same idea with the cream-colored wool, which is really classic and can be worn in so many ways. I love that she’s wearing it over a dress for this photo. And Tali chose a printed cotton for hers. Home dec-style fabrics are great for this pattern because they’re a little heavier and more structured. I like to choose a relatively heavy interfacing to make the collar stand out and keep its structure for this style, but you can absolutely leave it softer if you prefer a more drapey collar.<\/p>\n
