It was a week full of adventures, inspiration, laughter, and sharing. And that’s exactly why I organized our first Madrid Through a Creative Lens tour.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

And once it was over, I sat down and thought about what I wanted to improve for the next one. Aside from moving a few things around and adding a few things–including an Spanish embroidery class with an expert who will be bringing antiques and will teach us various Spanish embroidery techniques and styles–the tour will be largely the same, but improved in some subtle ways.<\/p>\n

\"Madrid<\/a><\/p>\n

I’ve also arranged for us to visit a bullfighting costume maker so we can see the construction process of these elaborate costumes and watch how they do the impressive embroidery. So cool! In addition, we’ll take a little field trip to see my studio, since everyone on the first tour seemed so curious about my own creative process and had so many questions.<\/p>\n

So the itinerary is reworked and we’re ready. Would you like to join us? The dates for the next tour are November 8-15, 2025<\/strong>. It will be a busy week, but with lots of time for you to enjoy Madrid. We’ll be be a small group again, seeing art, meeting artisans, eating amazing Spanish food, experiencing flamenco and lots of other Spanish culture, and–best of all–making things and hanging out together. It’s a nice mix of activities and a wonderful time of year to enjoy Madrid.<\/p>\n

Also, best hotel breakfast ever! Not to mention the location and the hotel<\/a> itself. It’s such a perfect home base and a great place to hang out in the cafe for a glass of wine or a snack. We all fell in love with it during the last tour.<\/p>\n

This was my first trip to Europe, and I could not ask for a better experience. Liesl has a strong eye for detail, and so many things were taken care of for the guests.
