Are you having fun with Me Made May<\/a>? I feel like now that the weather is starting to improve I’m enjoying playing with my clothing again and I’m wearing more of a variety rather than the trousers and jeans with T-shirt and pullover that I fell back on during the cold and really busy months when I didn’t have time to think much about what I wore. Does that happen to you, too?<\/p>\n

This month I’m taking time to step back a bit and take a broader look at the clothes I already have. Since the weather is changing (sometimes from hour to hour!) I’m mixing more of my “winter” clothes with my “summer” clothes and enjoying the contrast during the transition.<\/p>\n

I finished sewing these quite a while ago and never got around to photographing them. This was part of my sewing plans for last fall<\/a>: inter-rib (knit) Montauk Trousers<\/a> and a coordinating Melville Cardigan<\/a>. I get some sort of exercise almost every day, which means I wear a lot of very casual gym clothes early in the morning. But for relaxing at home I wanted instead of gym clothes or pajamas. So this set is sort of a nod to those very comfortable gym clothes but with a bit of a style upgrade. They’re not the clothes I wear when I go out, but I’m ok wearing them to take a quick stroll through the neighborhood park, a run to the supermarket, etc.<\/p>\n

Both pieces can be worn separately (I wear them both a lot), but as a set I think they’re fun with a tank and sneakers. Very casual and comfortable for the days when I really want to kick back and relax. Do you have clothes like that, too?<\/p>\n

I added the racing stripe (just a striped ribbon) down the side of the leg of the trousers, and I really like the detail. It makes them feel more sporty, similar to my track pants but definitely a little nicer.<\/p>\n

These were fun to sew, and they’re extremely comfortable to wear.<\/p>\n

Next on my\u00a0 list is another Prado Trench<\/a> in navy (I wear the khaki trench almost every day!) and two more pairs of Cannes Trousers<\/a> in white and in khaki since these two items have been on such high rotation lately. And I’m still looking for the perfect fabric for the Northbridge Jumpsuit<\/a>, but navy linen seems to be the fabric I’m gravitating toward.<\/p>\n
