In need of some fall inspiration? Neha is sharing two versions of the Noord Sweatshirt that look perfect for cooler days!<\/em><\/p>\n

With temperatures cooling down in these parts, I have started looking at Fall patterns with long sleeves tops and layering pieces topping the list. One of the patterns on my list is the Noord Sweatshirt<\/a> which offers lots of options in terms of color blocking and styling, and I decided to make mine in two different ways.<\/p>\n

For my measurements, I made the size Medium with an A\/B cup. Although technically for my waist and hips measurements, I would be a Large, I decided to forgo grading out to the Large size since the relaxed fit and boxy style would offer enough room for movement. The only change I made was to shorten the body and sleeve lengths by two inches. Since two inches is a substantial amount, my preferred way is to remove the extra length in a couple of locations instead of just one spot. This helps maintain the silhouette at side seams to a greater extent and is easier to then true up.<\/p>\n

For my first sweatshirt, I chose to do some color blocking in fabric remnants for other projects. This version is made in French terry and as such the drape is soft and fluid. This one will be perfect for dropping kids at school on chilly mornings, and running errands during the day!<\/p>\n

For my second sweatshirt, I chose to do a slightly dressier version and decided on an all-solid color version with a tiny bit of lace overlay for the shirt side and front v at the neck. I used a medium-weight interlock knit for the body and stretch lace, and just held both pieces together while sewing. I absolutely love how this one turned out! This version I think will work great for date nights, or brunch out with friends on weekends.<\/p>\n
