Summer is (almost) over in the Northern Hemisphere, and it’s been a weird one. You all didn’t stop sewing, though. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has welcomed the opportunity to take a break by browsing beautifully sewn garments on social media.<\/p>\n

So here’s a sampling of the fabulous and functional clothing that popped up in our feeds in July and August.<\/p>\n

Starting with Liesl + Co., clockwise from top left:<\/p>\n

1. The Bistro Dress<\/a> by @rrwerner<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0is so cute in this fun, horse print.<\/p>\n

2. @whosewever<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0is teaching herself out of a job. Her daughter made this lovely Metro T-Shirt<\/a>\u00a0without any help!<\/p>\n

3. Teal was a great choice for this Camp Shirt<\/a> with modified patch pocket placement by @mazzawazzawoo<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4. We’re here for this hip floral\u00a0All Day Shirt<\/a> sewn by @magicsewingpixie<\/a>. She included the optional collar stay pockets for a professional touch.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. @sevenstitchesamy<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0had the clever idea to turn the Belgravia Knit Dress<\/a> into an elegant top in a beautiful color.<\/p>\n

\"Sewing<\/a><\/p>\n

1. @sewmelwyk<\/span><\/a>\u00a0lengthened the Terrace Dress<\/a> pattern and added side slits, then sewed it up in a fun black-and-white print.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0@<\/span>justsewjenna<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0looks occasion-ready in her elegant navy\u00a0Gelato Dress<\/a>.<\/p>\n

3. This All Day Shirt by\u00a0@<\/span>annette.poole.125<\/a>\u00a0is fun and funky, and we love the backdrop.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0@whendy7<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0took a different approach to fabric selection with her All Day Shirt, and wound up with a classic.<\/p>\n

There was a lot of activity in the Oliver + S hashtag<\/a>, too. From left to right:<\/p>\n

1. This birthday gift by\u00a0@melissalkruger<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0must have been a huge hit. She made a pair of Mandalorian-themed Sunny Day Shorts<\/a> with a matching t-shirt.<\/p>\n

2. @laugreenfield<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0used the Building Block Dress<\/a>\u00a0book to create this sweet frock. We love the pops of white.<\/p>\n

3. The flutter sleeves on this Lullaby Layette<\/a> bodysuit by @cyndyr<\/span><\/a>\u00a0are an adorable and clever modification.<\/p>\n

1. Doesn’t @frolickingthreads<\/span><\/span><\/a>‘ granddaughter look adorable in her Seashore Sundress<\/a>?<\/p>\n

2. This scarlet Badminton Top<\/a> by @floating_light<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is simply stunning.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0@mountaincraftstyle1<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0made a pair of coordinating sister t-shirts from the School Bus T-Shirt<\/a> pattern. We love the way she used the sleeve and neckband color as a unifying element.<\/p>\n

4. We love the pretty floral @c<\/span>yndyr<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0chose for her Cartwheel Wrap Dress<\/a>.<\/p>\n
