We&#8217;ll have more to versions of it to show you soon, so grab your pattern quickly because the sew-along will start in January. I&#8217;m really excited about it, and remember that this style also makes a great spring jacket. I think it would be a fantastic raincoat, too.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a holiday here in Spain today, so we&#8217;re busy making our annual Christmas cookies using a recipe from Todd&#8217;s beloved Nana. We need to make more than 135 to give them to everyone on our list, but we&#8217;ve already easily surpassed that number and there is still plenty of dough! If there&#8217;s time I may also make some of my Grandma&#8217;s traditional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.splendidtable.org\/recipes\/springerle-swabian-anise-cookie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Springerle<\/a> as well, although they really need to age for a month in order to achieve the right flavor. The topstitched undercollar would add extra stability if you like to pop your collar, and the hanging loop is a lovely touch. It&#8217;s almost 30 minutes long, but it&#8217;s worth watching.<\/li>\n<li>Have you watched The Crown yet? The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/fashion\/2019\/nov\/20\/the-royal-treatment-the-majestic-role-of-fashion-in-the-crown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">costumes really are stunning<\/a> and it&#8217;s fun to learn more about how they came to be.<\/li>\n<li>Here&#8217;s a fun little <a href=\"https:\/\/craftbits.com\/project\/cute-bird-made-of-leftover-yarn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">weekend craft project<\/a> that would look awfully cute nestled into a Christmas tree.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/fashionista.com\/2019\/11\/bison-wool-fiber-sustainable-material-united-by-blue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bison wool<\/a>: who knew?<\/li>\n<li>A very interesting story about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/11\/21\/fashion\/toyko-denim-jeans.html?te=1&amp;nl=open-thread&amp;emc=edit_tz_20191122?campaign_id=40&amp;instance_id=14049&amp;segment_id=19032&amp;user_id=52d2e9c7933916062fb087dc0f62e8a1&amp;regi_id=7110932820191122\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Japanese denim<\/a> and what makes is special. Fascinating how Japan was first introduced to denim, too!<\/li>\n<li>Also: don&#8217;t miss this lovely video about making <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/363518350\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Japanese selvedge denim<\/a>. (I love these quotes: &#8220;The Japanese are very detail-oriented, which is probably why we produce good quality.&#8221; And &#8220;Craftsmanship is a character of the Japanese people.&#8221; from the video.)<\/li>\n<li>This Swedish company is recycling cotton to make a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90425078\/this-tech-can-turn-your-old-jeans-into-a-brand-new-pair-of-jeans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fiber called Circulose<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>Holiday stress? Or for that matter, regular stress? I&#8217;ve been using <a href=\"https:\/\/getpocket.com\/explore\/item\/beat-stress-like-a-navy-seal-with-this-ridiculously-easy-exercise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this breathing technique<\/a> for a few months now and it&#8217;s amazing.
