Here\u2019s a little project we\u2019ve been working on\u00a0this\u00a0year.

It\u2019s my pleasure to introduce to you the\u00a0Oliver + S\u00a0Building Block Dress in Spanish<\/a>! As you may know, I\u2019ve been working hard to learn Spanish for the past two years. I\u2019m progressing slowly, and this fall I\u2019ll be starting a conversation class now that I have enough grammar and vocabulary to start to become fluent. But my Spanish isn\u2019t nearly good enough to translate a book, so we were very fortunate to have a wonderful team who have supported us to make this book a reality.
\n\u00a1Es un placer para m\u00ed presentaros mi \u00faltimo libro ahora disponible en espa\u00f1ol!\u00a0 OLIVER + S DISE\u00d1O Y CONFECCI\u00d3N DE VESTIDOS DE NI\u00d1AS<\/a>, gu\u00eda para modificar y personalizar patrones de costura a partir de un patr\u00f3n base. Como ya sabr\u00e9is, en estos dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os he trabajado mucho para mejorar mi espa\u00f1ol. Ha sido un progreso lento, pero ya tengo el suficiente vocabulario y nivel gramatical para empezar este oto\u00f1o con clases de conversaci\u00f3n y as\u00ed conseguir la fluidez que deseo. A\u00fan as\u00ed, mi espa\u00f1ol no es suficiente como para traducir un libro, por lo que nos hemos rodeado de un gran equipo que nos ha ayudado a hacer realidad este libro.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Our\u00a0Spanish\u00a0publisher, Editorial El Drac,\u00a0has been wonderful\u00a0to work with\u00a0and has really been committed to making the book look and feel as similar to the English edition as possible. They\u2019ve held my hand through all the metric conversions and have been so supportive of all our suggestions and improvements. And I\u2019m especially grateful to my dear friends Miren Herrero\u00a0Llorente and Maria\u00a0Fernandez de Castro of Telaria<\/a>\u00a0for their help with making the book really friendly and readable for the Spanish sewing community. Miren especially spent hours coaxing it into terrific shape. I can\u2019t wait to read it in full someday!
\nEl Drac<\/strong>\u00a0es nuestra editorial espa\u00f1ola, que se ha involucrado mucho en el desarrollo de este proyecto y ha conseguido que la edici\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola del libro tenga el mismo aspecto y estructura que la edici\u00f3n original en ingl\u00e9s, para que la esencia de nuestro producto siga siendo la misma. Ha sido una maravilla trabajar con ellos, me han llevado de la mano en las conversiones entre los dos sistemas m\u00e9tricos y y han apoyado todas nuestras sugerencias y correcciones. Tambi\u00e9n estoy especialmente agradecida a mis queridas amigas Miren Herrero Llorente y Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez De Castro, esta \u00faltima al frente de\u00a0Telaria.es<\/a>, por toda su ayuda a la hora de hacer que el libro resultase agradable y accesible para la comunidad costurera en espa\u00f1ol.
