Well, I was having the hardest time inserting the drawstring with that safety pin. It was taking me absolutely <strong>forever<\/strong>! After that I thought to myself there must be an easier way. I became determined to find something else to use. They included an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B004BOYBGU\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=lieslandco-20&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B004BOYBGU&amp;linkId=6d837f5ee258475af86642b67d7bd3a4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ezy-Pull Bodkin<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003WMFVRA\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=lieslandco-20&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B003WMFVRA&amp;linkId=31f1e319b66714b105e63dfa18a92311\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ball Point Bodkin<\/a>, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001B9FBO4\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=lieslandco-20&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;creativeASIN=B001B9FBO4&amp;linkId=c06eeec158ff96054907c392f1f991b3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drawstring Threader<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/oliverands.com\/community\/content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/drawstringhelp1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-51212\" src=\"\/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/drawstringhelp1-580x388.jpg\" alt=\"Help with inserting drawstrings on the Oliver + S Swingset Skirt\" width=\"580\" height=\"388\" srcset=\"\/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/drawstringhelp1-580x388.jpg 580w, \/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/drawstringhelp1-275x184.jpg 275w, \/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/drawstringhelp1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s talk about the Ezy-Pull Bodkin first. What a nifty little device this is! You slide the ring down to open the bodkin, insert the elastic or drawstring between the tweezers teeth, and then slide the ring back up to tighten the bodkin. This is the widest of the three tools. Since the elastic and drawstring casings on the Swingset Skirt are 3\/8\u201d wide, this contraption is too big to fit. The eye on this bodkin is about 1\/4\u201d wide so if the drawstring that you\u2019ll be adding is thin enough to fit into to the eye you could use this. But I found it ideal (and highly recommend it) for inserting the 1\/4\u201d elastic. This is the one that I think is the best for inserting a drawstring on the Swingset Skirt. It\u2019s so fast and easy to use. There are two size eyes that will hold any size drawstring. You thread the drawstring through either eye or weave it through both eyes which is what I did and recommend.
