That doesn&#8217;t leave a lot of time for sewing, but we can always sneak in a <a href=\"http:\/\/oliverands.com\/free-patterns\/lazy-days-skirt\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lazy Days Skirt<\/a> now and then when the sewing bug hits.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/o.osimg.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/lazy-days-summer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4286\" title=\"lazy-days-summer\" src=\"\/\/o.osimg.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/lazy-days-summer.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"\/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/lazy-days-summer.jpg 650w, \/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/lazy-days-summer-275x184.jpg 275w, \/\/o.osimg.net\/community\/content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/lazy-days-summer-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the last day of school (just two weeks ago) we gathered S and a few of her classmates for a photo of some <a href=\"http:\/\/oliverands.com\/free-patterns\/lazy-days-skirt\/\">Lazy Day Skirts<\/a> made using\u00a0 gorgeous <a href=\"http:\/\/retail.renaissanceribbons.com\/home\/index\/12460.0.1.1\" target=\"_blank\">Renaissance Ribbons<\/a> and Moda fabrics (like Kate&#8217;s Spain&#8217;s upcoming collection, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unitednotions.com\/fcc_cuzco.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Cuzco<\/a>). The skirts come together very quickly, which makes them a perfect summer sewing project. There are no pattern pieces, no seam allowances to finish, and the ribbon makes a neat and easy hem. But the girls don&#8217;t care about any of those details.
