To help celebrate the release of City Weekend, the Martha Stewart Crafts Blog<\/a> is featuring a free project we designed. And they are giving away the fabric to make it!<\/p>\n

The Mother-Daughter Tote Bag can be made for both adults and children. The bag includes a divided inside pocket for keys and other small items. I’ve been carrying this little tote for a while now, and it’s great for the basics you can’t leave home without: a book, cell phone, sunglasses, wallet, etc. It also makes a cute little lunch tote.<\/p>\n

S likes her bag for similar reasons, although hers usually carries very different items than mine. Yesterday I opened hers up and found a doll, her toy cell phone, and her sketchbook. (Hmm, maybe the contents aren’t so different from mine after all….)<\/p>\n

This is a fun project to show off a few of your favorite prints. You can make pattern pieces from the measurements we’ve provided in the downloadable project sheet, or you can cut the fabric directly based on those numbers. Either way, I hope you’ll \u00a0have fun making it.<\/p>\n
