Now that May has arrived, we’re all hoping that spring will finally<\/strong> start to show its face here in New York. And with our thoughts turning toward spring, I thought it might be a good time to remind you about some of our free sewing patterns<\/a> that are perfect for the upcoming warmer weather.<\/p>\n

One of our all-time most popular free patterns is the Popover Sundress<\/a> sewing pattern. Believe it or not, this free pattern gets downloaded almost 4,000 times a month, each and every month! (I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that the free pattern comes with a matching dress pattern for 18-inch dolls….)<\/p>\n

The Popover Sundress is the perfect quick and easy project, and it’s one that is guaranteed to make girls and their dolls happy.<\/p>\n

And while we’re talking about quick and easy free sewing patterns, we can’t forget the Lazy Days Skirt<\/a>! This is the ultimate in simple-to-sew and instant gratification projects. Made from a single width of fabric, you can whip these out in multiples\u00a0 so you’ll always have a birthday party present on hand. Or you can decide to dress all the neighborhood girls, like we did for the blog a couple summers ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of our oft-overlooked free patterns, the Ruffled Halter<\/a>, is also a great summer style. This free pattern was written for Stitch Magazine back in 2010.<\/p>\n
