i just wanted to say this so that anyone buying from this company knows a little more.

i had a hard time finding 1 1/2 inch strap adjusters locally but was on a deadline so i really didn’t want to wait long for shipping.

i ordered from strapworks.com like this forum said to do and i was so please.

they have a large selection and great prices. i think the same strap adjusters at joann (for two adjusters) was like $3-$4. I paid $0.88 a piece for the ones I got and they look sturdier.

order date to deliver date was 4 days!!! very fast in my opinion compared to a lot of companies i’ve dealt with.

    great suggestion SarahB 🙂

seems like a really visually appealing site–easy to navigate and great concept. i haven’t watched a video yet so i can’t comment but looks like exciting things are on the horizon!

i’m reading through this hoping to grasp how to accomplish a lining in these cute little pants.

i am a little worried about how a lining will change the waist. i’ve never lined anything before but will have to with the fabric i am using.

lizabeth–you don’t happen to have pictures of your pants on flickr that you can link me to?

thanks for your words of advice–fingers crossed maybe i won’t screw these up!

1/2 yd. for 2T shorts was plenty for both fabric A and B. granted i was using a plain linen so no pattern matching but it fit with room to spare.

hope this will help someone in the future if they aren’t sure.

thanks so much! good to know about the apple picking dress 🙂

i’m really glad because i was thinking i got such a good deal on the black linen i purchased and didn’t feel like running out to get more. luckily there is not pattern on the linen so i think i’ll be totally fine.

    happy sewing!
