<p>Other ideas&#8230;classrooms for art projects, preschools, chuch groups, quilt guilds. </p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here&#8217;s a picture of the yoke and of my seams (at the leg, where the side piece joins the bigger leg pieces). The pieces I had to add to make it long enough are much longer than even an error between 1/4&#8243; seam and 1/2&#8243; seam would cause. </p>
<p>Also, the rear pockets are REALLY low, comically so. </p>

<p>I got the leg pieces sewn together; but when I went to match up the yoke with each leg, I found that the yoke pieces were too short by almost 2 inches. <p>I found BanRol at the local fabric store, and will give that a try and let  you all know how it worke.d </p>

<p>My sewing machine really does not like to do a basting stitch&#8211;the tension is never right on it. Very frustrating. </p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This time, I was using material gleaned from a size 3XL fleece vest that had an embroidered logo I wanted to reuse. It was enough fabric for front, back and top sleeves. I used a microfleece for the front, inner panel and lower sleeves. Quilting cotton, with interfacing, for the upper collar, placket, and pocket facings. </p>
<p>It turned out great! I love it. </p>

I just cut out a pair of After School pants for him using an old pair of his dad&#8217;s jeans and a repurposed jumper (dress, not sweater) from the thrift store for the accent pieces. </p>

<p>Don&#8217;t give up on fleece. It&#8217;s actually pretty awesome. But since this pattern wasn&#8217;t designed for fleece, it didn&#8217;t work quite as well. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ll definitely try the new Parachute pants in fleece.  </p>

So, I couldn&#8217;t do as the instructions stated and pre-clip and crease the collar. Thus, trying to turn under the collar raw edge and get it to cover the seam where the undercollar joins the back neck was really tough. I was going to do it in quilting cotton on the inside not fleece, but I totally forgot when cutting out the fabric and the two layers of fleece are a bit awkward. <p>Sailboat! That&#8217;s one I don&#8217;t have  &#8211;  I was scared of the buttonholes, but I have conquered them on my machine, so I should try it. </p>
<p>Any ideas for how to do a prince charming type costume?</p>
