The fabric that is unsuitable for quilting can be donated to a home economics department.  There may be a local society associated with a homeless shelter that has sewing facilities.  If all else fails, try giving it away on Freecycle.  Good luck with the purge.</p>

One can vary the shapes of the patch pockets for visual interest. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I use store-bought bias binding all the time and have always been pleased with the results. It saves time if you want to use a solid color for the neck and ties. One cannot get creative with the bias binding typically available at the fabric store, but it is efficient and saves time.</p>
