Hi!

I love the way my chai Tee fits, but I’d like a higher neckline so that I get less sun on my chest (I’ve had too much sun over the years). I am trying to adjust the neckline on the pattern, and I have tried to measure the ratio of the neckband to the neckline in order to cut the neckband to the correct length. However, I keep calculating…[Read more]

Thank you!!! I do have the Field Trip raglan but haven’t made it yet. I just looked, and it also calls for 25% stretch. And particularly thanks for the neckline tip…my grandchildren also seem to have big heads! I can make this work.

Aha! Found it myself. On page 6, it says that the seam allowances are 1/2 inch for the tunic, but 1/4 inch for the leggings. I suspect it comes of having been split from one pattern into two…

cheers

Hi,

This is actually the first Oliver & S pattern I have sewn, even though I have purchased several. I recently purchased the digital version of the singles Playtime Leggings. I am now reading through the instructions to start sewing, and on page 3 of the instructions, under the Pattern Size Key, it states that the seam allowances are 1/4 inch…[Read more]

Help! I need some advice. I want to sew the jacket in Lisette B6169, but I’m having trouble finding fabric I like. I’m hoping for a botanical print on a light background in either twill or denim, but can’t find one. The closest I’ve found is some upholstery fabric at fabric.com, which is a medium weight 100% cotton. However, it is dry clean only,…[Read more]
