@JWo Another option might be the free purl bee city gym shorts which have a definite stubbies vibe – though they look pretty luxe here in Liberty. Not how I remember stubbies!

@JWo ,I must confess, when I made these https://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/7738716408/in/album-72157626639099661/ I made them with the hand-down-in-mind for a boy.
I would absolutely put hem on a boy and definitely in a plain colour.

@jwo I missed out too but at least you actually made two skirts. Mine were not made at all.

The latest stupid thing I did was with the Bistro dress. I fused the interfacing to the wrong side of the fabric and attached the zipper perfectly before I realised! Firtunately you cannot see it because I used a narrower strip. But it was still silly!

I made Trixie a gorgeous white Hopscotch nightie yesterday which will stay pristine as I used a too firmer knit and it won’t go over her head.
Le sigh.

@rhythmtyagi that cross stitch is adorable! I saved the Martha Stewart pdf template to my phone’s Kindle app and am already thinking how I can adapt it to resemble my family – mostly, how I’ll make the man’s outfit look like a military uniform ;-).

@JWo what a clever idea to use a mirror! I’ve read that for knitting Fair Isle it’s great to be able to knit both English and Continental — maybe lefties have advantages when it comes to certain kinds of knitting?

I’m also going to get some samples from https://www.myfabrics.co.uk/cotton-jersey-medium.html

I have no idea what it’s like, but it does at least tell me the fabric composition.
