I love when something I try works out.

I am not a pattern designer but I do enjoy sewing without patterns sometimes…mostly for myself. I have a dress form that I use.

My all time favorite things to sew is little girls dresses.

It’s a boy and winter. I think that sherpa or berber fleece would b perfect!! Thank you for the suggestion. I was serching and knit just seems so average.

I am working on Lullably Layette pieces. I am doing a long sleeve, snap crotch top in a RealTree fabric. Not my choice of fabric, but my niece loves the stuff. I have brown fine wale corduroy for the pants. I want to do a jacket also but I am not sure what fabric to use.

Wish I could use the same die for both size snaps. The snaps are pretty cheap, but I would need a die set for each size. Sigh…so many things I want.

Thank you!! I don’t have any snaps or the dies, just the press. I think I will start with the smaller size 16.

I would have used felt and paint. That blue painters paint works well on felt. I do a lot of the costumes for my son’s school and at play time, I feel like I have a full time job sewing. Last year for Hairspray, I made something like 16 dresses as well as a bunch of other pieces. Wouldn’t have been so bad if they weren’t all different sizes and a lot need embellsihments for the stage.

I’d love to see pics when you are done!

That is what I did but I must have measured wrong. It wasn’t the right size and stuck up a bit on the side.

I totally love the patterns! The dresses are to die for and I really love the classic look and versatility of the patterns.

I am sewing newborn. I also do not have any of those patterns. This one is my first and I just LOVE it. I am sewing for a relative. She is having her first baby and I don’t even know the sex yet. I just make one girl outfit, one boy outfit, girl, boy, etc. Her due date is Aug. 1 so this pattern is just perfect!

I drafted a collar and put in on the shirt. I like the way it looks but it isn’t perfect so I will try again. Unfortunately I accidentally threw the pattern I drew away. I was hoping to find one here.
