I just was gifted a Kam Snap press. I will be using them on the shirts and playsuits from the Layette pattern. I have heard that the size 20s are the best overall size but will they work well on the smaller clothing?

I would have used felt and paint. That blue painters paint works well on felt. I do a lot of the costumes for my son’s school and at play time, I feel like I have a full time job sewing. Last year for Hairspray, I made something like 16 dresses as well as a bunch of other pieces. Wouldn’t have been so bad if they weren’t all different sizes…[Read more]

That is what I did but I must have measured wrong. It wasn’t the right size and stuck up a bit on the side.

I totally love the patterns! The dresses are to die for and I really love the classic look and versatility of the patterns.

I am sewing newborn. I also do not have any of those patterns. This one is my first and I just LOVE it. I am sewing for a relative. She is having her first baby and I don’t even know the sex yet. I just make one girl outfit, one boy outfit, girl, boy, etc. Her due date is Aug. 1 so this pattern is just perfect!

I just made my first pair of layette pants in a size 0-3 months. The legs seems super short. Is this correct? Has anyone been adding to the inseam. The crotch length is PLENTY long, in fact I removed a little bit of it as it will be for a baby in disposable diapers.
