Hi all you experienced seamstresses and sewist! I'm new at sewing for my boys and am about to start making a couple of sketchbook shirts. My boys are 5 and 11 and I'm trying to decide what size to cut out. Am I correct that I should go by chest measurement and lengthen or shorten from there? If so where do I take the chest measurement under the arms all the way around or at the nipple line? I did read the discussion about possibly adding length to make the shirt tuck in. Love this forum!
