I’ve been staring at the picture for Step 4 on sewing the side seams to assemble the vest and I cannot figure it out. Anyone have tips to be able to interpret this drawing for the part to sew and is it right sides together, I would assume?

It is a very odd looking picture!

Basically you are sewing the side seams right side together starting at the hem of the outer fabric in one continuous pass. You sew the outer fabric right sides together from the hem to the armhole then continue the seam in the lining from the armhole to the hem of the lining. This closes up the armholes and leaves and nice finish on both the outside and the inside. Sorry I don’t have any pictures for you.

It is a lovely vest and I hope this helps. 🙂
