Seam allowance on Belgravia dress

In the Belgravia dress instructions, the general instructions on page 5 say "seam allowances are included in the pattern and are 1/2" unless otherwise noted." Then on page 6, the pattern says "Note this pattern includes 3/8" seams unless otherwise noted." I assume the 3/8 on page 6 trumps the 1/2 on page 5?
